Yes, of course. We are continuously working to improve Weathercloud with new exciting features. You can follow us on social media, visit our Blog and enable our newsletter from your Settings page to keep updated with the latest news.
Most devices from the leading manufacturers are compatible with Weathercloud. Check out our Compatibele stations page for the complete list of supported devices.
The way to link your device with Weathercloud depends on its manufacturer and model. Some devices require the use of a desktop software or mobile app, either from the manufacturer itself or from third parties, while other devices can send data to Weathercloud autonomously. Click on the name of your software on our Compatibele stations page for the corresponding linking instructions.
You can link up to 3 devices with the Free plan. Paid plans allow unlimited devices. Check out our Plans page for more details.
Yes. Several weather station models are marketed under different brand names, so your device may be compatible even if it is not listed. If you are using a supported software and cannot find your device on the list, choose Other or the equivalent model from a listed manufacturer when registering it on Weathercloud.
Most likely not. If your software is not listed, we suggest you check with its developer whether it is compatible or not with Weathercloud before trying to link your device. All compatible software has a Weathercloud section where you can enter the Weathercloud ID and KEY provided for your device in order to complete the linking process.
To obtain the ID and Key of your device, sign in to Weathercloud, go to your Devices page and click on Link in the Settings drop-down menu (the gear icon).
If you are certain that you followed all the steps indicated in our instructions correctly and your software is not sending data to Weathercloud after more than 10 minutes, check your Internet connection and make sure your antivirus or firewall is not preventing the verification of the Weathercloud ID and KEY. If this last is the case, add your software to the list of exceptions of your antivirus or firewall. Also be aware not to be pasting any blanks before or after the Weathercloud ID and Key.
If you are using Weathercloud as a guest, you can change your units and time zone by clicking on the gear icon at the top-right corner of the map screen.
If you are already a user, you can also change your units and time zone by clicking on Settings under the drop-down menu of your profile picture.
Elevation is the altitude of your device above the sea level. Height is the distance between your device and the surface underneath, like the ground, a roof, etc.
You can update your billing information from your Account page by clicking on the Update billing information button. You can add different credit cards, set one as your default payment method and also remove those that you no longer use.
The update interval depends on your plan. For the Free plan it is 10 minutes. Check out our Plans page for more details.
The database storage interval is 10 minutes for all plans.
Yes. If you are using a software to upload data, make sure it is running continuously to avoid interruptions. If you close the software, it will stop sending data until you open it again.
If your device stops uploading data for a period of time, then that data will be lost and you will see blanks on your database, reports and plots. You just need to open your software again to resume uploading data to Weathercloud.
Your device must be online for at least 12 hours a day in order to provide sufficient data to calculate the values of the evolution graphs.
Normally, if one or more weather variables are not being displayed on Weathercloud it is because the software you use is not sending us data of those variables. We suggest you report this issue to the developer of your software so they can implement the missing variables. Please be aware that your software may be sending these variables correctly to other sites but not to Weathercloud.
It depends on your software as we display the same data we receive from it.
You should make sure that you entered the URL of the image itself and not the URL of the web page where the image appears.

METAR is a standard format for reporting weather information. It is used worldwide by official weather stations installed at airports and similar locations.
A METAR device is a weather station using this format to make its weather information available to the public at specific intervals.
According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), sunshine hours are only computed when direct solar irradiance exceeds a threshold value of 120 W/m².
You can follow other devices by clicking on the star icon directly from the map page.
